HAJA DANCE ACADEMY INSTRUCTORS-2011-2012

Mrs. Selena Pollzzie-Artistic Director

Mrs. Selena is a Graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a B.S. Degree in Business and Dance/Choreography.
She has been teaching dance for over 20 years. Her dancers are known for their incredible technique and skill. Haja's Competitive EliteTeam has won numerous top honors at regional and national competitions. Most recnetly her studio was invited to compete at the NATIONAL DANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS in DALLAS TEXAS. Haja was one of only 4 studio invited from the state of Michigan. Mrs. Selena has also won several choreography awards for her innovative and creative choreography. She loves teaching the art of dance to students young and old! Mrs. Selena was honored with the 1st Federation Of Dance Excellence Award at Applause Talent Nationals 2007 as well as in 2008. She has also been invited to be a part of the Applause Talent Competition staff as a professional judge, as well as a professional judge for Hall Of Fame Dance Challenge. Mrs. Selena has a very warm approach with all students young and old and believes in the importance of teaching students "How To Dance" and not just given them a routine. Mrs Selena continues to travel all over the U.S. to continue her education so that she can continue to bring the most up to date technique and creativity to her students!

Miss. Courtney Cosby-Competitive Staff
Courtney Cosby is currently a student at Eastern Michigan University. She is a graduate from Toledo School of the Arts where her concentration was in Dance and Performance. Courtney is one of our lead teachers at Haja working with our incredible Elite Team Dancers.
Courtney has been dancing for over 13 years. She is trained in the areas of ballet, tap, hula, pointe, jazz, lyrical, and more! Courtney is an amazing Hula and Hip Hop instructor. She has been a member of the Haja Platinum winning Elite Team for 4 years. Courtney is a highly trained technical dancer and brings her enthusiastic love for dance in the classroom every week! Courtney has also worked as a dance instructor at Haja for 9 years under the direction of Selena Pollzzie. She was also a part of the #1 Best of the Best trio Gravity, 2007.
Courtney has an incredible energy and ability to get the best out of her students!

Mr. Kyle Molter-Competitive Staff/Assitant Director
Kyle is a Backstage Manager for Nextstar Dance Competition as well as an employee of Hall of Fame Dance Challenge. He is currently one of our lead instructors for the Haja Elite Team. He choreography is innovative and unique. One of his numbers "Teeth" was recently invited to compete at the NATIONAL WORLD DANCE CHAMPIONS in Dallas Texas. Mr. Kyle is adored bu all of his students and his fun loving personality makes students learn in a healthy safe environment!
Kyle himself is a Platinum winning soloist winning an incredible 7 regional titles in 2006. He has been recognized for his amazing performance quality at Rainbow Dance Connection by becoming a "Dancer of The Year" Candidate. He has worked working as a Teachers Assistant for 3 years and now works as a competitive dance instructor. He has a love for dance that is seen through his teaching and his ablity to motivate dancers to believe in greatness! Kyle is a 3 time competitive scholarship winner as well as an inspiration to the students at Haja!
He is also currently working with the Toledo School for the Arts, Burn The Floor, Flex Pointe and LA Dance doing master classes as well as choreography.
